I have a passion for budgeting and saving and for the last 4 years I've shared my budget, income, and life on Youtube. At the end of 2025 I started sharing my journey on other socials and started sharing my full income and expenses weekly. As a single mom of two boys, my mission has always been to share the real-life experiences of budgeting and building a business on a low income. I love sharing my journey through cash stuffing, savings challenges, and income reports.

I've been lucky to make this my full-time income over the last 4 years while homeschooling my sons and moving from costal Mississippi to Des Moines, Iowa. Now that I'm moved and my boys are in school out of the home, I will spend the next few years building my income to not only survive, but thrive. There is a lot happening around here and I'd love for you to join me on this journey.

So a lot of times when I'm introducting someone to cash budgeting for the first time they say, "but why??"

Swiping a card doesn’t feel like spending money — and that’s exactly why it’s so easy to overspend. When you hand over cash, you see the money leave your hands. It’s real, it’s visual, and it makes you pause before buying.

💡 Studies show people spend up to 30% more when using cards.
With cash, once your envelope is empty, you’re done — no overdrafts, no “I’ll just pay it off later.”

Cash budgeting makes you intentional. Every dollar has a job. You know where your money’s going, and you actually feel progress as your envelopes fill or empty.

Bottom line: Cash keeps you aware, accountable, and in control.

The most common question I get is, “I’m new to this and totally overwhelmed—where do I start?”

My best advice is to start small and start inspired. Choose a few categories that you need and a few that make you excited. It’s important to save for the things that light you up—like self-care, holidays, or a weekly coffee treat—and the things that keep life running smoothly, like car maintenance or getting one month ahead on bills.

That mix of fun and functional keeps budgeting from feeling like punishment—it keeps you motivated.

If you’d rather have a clear structure, I suggest starting with these two binders:

With these two, you’ll cover both adulting and enjoying life—without getting overwhelmed. 💵✨
